Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to The Reverend F G Walker, Organizing Secretary, Egypt Exploration Fund, 37 Great Russell Street, W.C. |
Date | 8 October 1913 |
Description | Will say at once that the serious demand as the Committee of the Egypt Exploration Fund now wish to make upon the meeting room of the Royal Society must received careful consideration by the Council of the Society. There is so many committee meetings here, and such limited accommodation, that Harrison thinks Council would hesitate to commit themselves to surrendering their one large room for six afternoons so long ahead. The Marine Biological Association and the British Academy use rooms here, and there are engagements during the time they mention. Suggests the Society of Antiquaries, as they have much fewer claims upon their meeting rooms. |
