Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to General Richard Strachey, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 21 September 1891 |
Description | Rix explains that an application for the appointment in succession to the late Norman Poyson has been received from Michael Smith, addressed to the Secretary of the Indian Observatories Committee. He notes that there is no official secretary of that committee, and he is uncertain about whether it should have gone to the India Office in the first instance.
Rix asks that Strachey advise him as to whom he should forward the application. |
