Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor William Chandler Roberts-Austen, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 9 November 1891 |
Description | 'Dear Professor Roberts-Austen, Could you tell me privately who is engraving the Royal Medals since the death of Leonard Wyon? I am afraid that he will not know that the medals have to be ready by the 30th inst. [instant]. The late Mr Leonard Wyon, of course, was aware of this, and we used to communicate with him privately, without waiting for the Royal Assent, as to the names of the recipients. I am, yours truly, Herbert Rix Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'. |
