| Description | The following is the minute of Council regarding the Radium Research Fund: 'Attention was called to the unexpended balance of £504.1.5 of the Radium Research Fund inaugurated by the Goldsmith's Company's donation of £1000 and it was resolved that the balance available be utilized for the purchase of mesothorium, to be placed in Sir Ernest Rutherford's hands for experiments'.
Presumes the mesothorium will have to be purchased in the name of the Royal Society. |
