| Description | At the last meeting of Council the enclosed memo from Dr Waller [no enclosures] relating to a paper by Professor Bose published in the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' was considered, and it was resolved that the memo be referred to the Botany and Physiology Committees which recommended the paper for publication, to consider and advise the Council.
In the meantime another paper by Bose 'The influence of homodromous and heteodromous electric currents on transmission of excitation in plant and animal' has been sent in by Professor Vines, and it is thought that Darwin would probably like to consider the two questions together. |
