Date | 23 December 1914 |
Description | 'I am directed by the Committee appointed by the Royal Society to prepare a scheme for an investigation into the pathology of Swine Fever in co-operation with the Board of Agriculture, to ask whether in the event of the Board sanctioning the prosecution of the enquiry as suggested by the Committee, the Lister Institute would be willing to place the services of Mr Major Greenwood and of Dr E E Atkin at the disposal of the Committee for the purposes of the investigation. I am to ask further in this connection whether the Institute would grant to the Committee the use of the Yerson Laboratory, and whether they would assist the Committee in obtaining the use of any necessary additional land adjoining the Institute's ground at Elstree.' |
