Description | With regard to the proposed enquiry into the pathology of swine fever, Harrison informs the secretary that the Committee of the Royal Society has drawn up a provisional scheme for the investigation, under which the expenditure contemplated for the first year amounts to £7500. Harrison gives a breakdown of the costs, and a contingent expenditure of £1500 which will be incurred if the Committee are unable to secure assistance from the Lister Institute. The Committee hopes that Surgeon General Sir David Bruce will be able to assume direction of the investigation. |
