Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Frank [Watson] Dyson, FRS |
Date | 13 November 1919 |
Description | Advises suggestion has been made with regard to the paper 'A determination of the deflection of light by the Sun's gravitational field from observations made at the total eclipse of 1919, May 29' by Sir Frank Dyson, FRS, to alter the paragraph at the top of page three of the general conclusions. Requests to know if he would want to alter the passage as follows; "Thus the results of the Expeditions to Sobral and Principe can leave little doubt that a deflection of light takes place in the neighbourhood of the Sun and that it is of the amount demanded by Einstein's theory of relativity and attributable to the Sun's gravitational field." |
