Appointed to the General Board:
Sir [ Eustace Henry William]Tennyson D'Byncourt, FRS, Admiral Sir Henry [Bradwardine] Jackson, FRS, Sir Ernest Rutherford [Baron Rutherford of Nelson], FRS, and Professor [Sir] Arthur Schuster, FRS, to serve until December 1925, in place of Sir Archibald Denny, Dr EH [Ernest Howard] Griffiths, FRS, Admiral Sir Henry Jackson and Professor WE [Walter Ernest] Dalby, FRS, who retire that month, as the President [Sir Joseph John Thomson, PRS] and Council of the Royal Society have decided that there are special reasons for Sir Henry Jackson to continue to serve. M LeMaitre to serve until 1924 in place of Mr JH [Sir James Hopwood] Jeans who has become Secretary of the Royal Society.
Appointed to the Executive Committee:
Professor [Sir] Arthur Schuster to serve until 1925 in place of Dr EH Griffiths who retires this month. Sir Richard Threlfall, FRS, to serve until 1921 in place of Professor CH [Charles Herbert] Lees who has resigned. Admiral Sir Henry Jackson to serve until 1922 in place of Mr JH Jeans.
Says that the two technical societies whose representatives on the General Board retire that month have not sent in their nominations.
