Description | With regards to Miss Foulerton's decease, encloses a copy of a letter from Messrs Peacock and Goddard with reference to Miss Sweeney, nurse to the deceased, by the executors of Miss Foulerton's will, advises that the documents have been submitted to the Council of the Royal Society for consideration. The Council of the Royal Society favourable to Miss Sweeney receiving £150 for three years residence, relating to the gift to Miss Sweeny mentioned in the will. Regarding an additional voluntary provision for Miss Sweeney, after 'sympathetic consideration of the question,' a sub-committee was established composed of the Treasurer [Sir David Prain, FRS] and Sir Alfred Kempe, FRS, and asks that they obtain from the executors a definite statement of evidence as to the intentions of Miss Foulerton and what sum they think is appropriate for Miss Sweeney under the circumstances. |
