DescriptionInforms [William] Bateson that the Privy Purse Office has stated that the Royal Medals which have been issued in copper for the last few years can now be replaced with gold ones. Accordingly, asks Bateson to return his medal and its case, awarded in 1920. The same message was sent to also sent to Professor [Alfred] Fowler, Professor [Godfrey Harold] Hardy, Dr [Frederick Frost] Blackman, Professor [John Bretland] Farmer, Professor [Frederick Gowland] Hopkins, Dr [Arthur] Smith Woodward, Dr [Frank Watson] Dyson, [Charles Thomson Rees] Wilson Esq., [Joseph] Barcroft Esq.
