TitleCopy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Lord Rayleigh [Robert John Strutt], FRS
Date13 November 1923
DescriptionAsks whether [Harold Baily] Dixon would be a good referee for J. E. P. Wagtaff's paper 'An Electrical Method of Determining the Velocity of a Detonation of Explosives', commuicated by Robertson. Also informs Lord Rayleigh [Robert John Strutt] of Richard D. Kleeman's paper 'The Absolute Zeros of the Externally Controllable Internal Energy and Entropy of a Substance or Mixture', communicated by [Owen Willans] Richardson, which seems 'very poor stuff', and will be reviewed by [Frederick Alexander] Lindemann; if Lindemann reports favourably, asks who should be a second referee.
