Title | Copy letter from Francis Alexander Towle, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Prof. [Alexander Oliver] RankineRankin of Imperial College of Science, South Kensington, S.W.7 |
Date | 25 February 1924 |
Description | Replies that it is too late to appoint a delegate to the Physical Society's celebrations as there are no Council meetings until 3 April, reminds [Alexander Oliver] Rankine Rankins of the telephone call 2 days earlier on the same subject. States that Sir Arthur Schuster raised the issue and appeared satisfied when told the President had been invited, although it may not be suitable as the President is a Physiologist. States that a general invitation to attend the celebration will be sent out to Fellows on the next list of Physics papers. |
