Description | In connection to the Arundel collection; Informs of the decision of the Council to accept the offer to sell the 4 identified books to the Trustees of the British Museum and to sell the remainder of the Arundel Collection, states that the sale is subject to the present Duke of Norfolk, a representative of which is expected this morning, however does not expect objection on the Duke's part. Also informs that the Council decided to have any money obtained from the sales to be kept in a separate fund 'The Arundel Library Fund' to purchase books for the Royal Society Library. |
