Title | Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to J. S. Ruchwaldy, Esq., Off Thomson Road, Singapore, S.S |
Date | 15 May 1924 |
Description | Gives thanks for the paper 'The double twin factors in the forces of nature' but states that his theory of a secondary force of gravity is too revolutionary to be accepted by the Royal Society without more careful discussion and evidence. States that all the terrestrial phenomena referred to in the paper can be explained by the Newtonian Law of Gravitation and that a second law would have been observed by now. States that J. S. Ruchwlady's task should be to explain why this secondary force of gravity does not appear in laboratory observations. |
