TitleCopy letter from [James Hopwood Jeans], Secretary of the Royal Society; to Prof. [John Charles Grant] Ledingham, FRS
Date17 June 1926
DescriptionAsks Prof. [John Charles Grant] Ledingham for his opinion in 2 matters. 1: That [William] Bulloch has expressed doubt over whether he can do [William Boog] Leishman justice in his obituary and suggests David Bruce or Almroth Wright. The Secretary mentions that Bruce is too blunt in his style and Wright might be cause difficulty by putting too much of his own achievements into the obituary. Also mentions that Muir seems may not be able to complete an obituary notice well. 2: Asks for suggestions as to who should test the 54 serum samples which have arrived from New Mexico State Agricultural College, suggests the Millbank location. The Royal Society agreed to test them on behalf of the College via Washington. Signature has faded.
