DescriptionInforms Dr [George Clarke] Simpson that the Royal Society sent a letter to the Foreign Office, asking about a decision in respect to His Majesty's Government participating in the scheme arranging the 'Polar Year'. Informs him that the Foreign Office has deferred making a decision, and is pending a reply from the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury, who were consulted in regard to the financial aspects of this matter.
