Description | Rix asks the manager to have a good firm door keeper [for the Anniversary dinner] who must insist on all cards being signed, except the large sized ones which indicate Council guests. Seats should be provided for a few reporters who may be admitted after dinner if they bring passes from Rix. The 'Times' reporters have special cards and may sit at the dinner-table. The Society pay only upon the tickets taken at the door. The clerk, Mr James, will as before, supply tickets to those who have left them behind. Cigars and cigarettes shall be supplied to be handed round by the Manager's people after dinner. At 10 o'clock they adjourn to the drawing-room where tea and coffee should be served and the remainder of the of cigars and cigarettes. |
