TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Ernest Howard Griffiths
Date18 March 1894
DescriptionRix has already obtained alternative estimates for Griffiths' figures from Mr Wilson and from a London man. The London man is much cheaper but the Officers wish the figures to be done by Mr Wilson as he executed the original drawings, and this would be a convenience to Griffiths.

Asks if there would be any objection to printing the figures in the text instead of on plate paper. In either case Rix imagines the reproduction would be by zinc process but plate paper is expensive and there is a certain advantage in having the figures distributed through the text besides that of savings in expense. Asks to know Griffiths view before he leaves Cambridge so the figures can be put in hand without further delay.
