DescriptionAn invitation from the Russian Government to the Royal Society has been received, to appoint a delegate to an International Geological Congress to be held at St Petersburg this summer. The Council has appointed Geikie and Professor T McKenny Hughes to represent the Society on that occasion.

The Congressl will be held at the end of September and there will also be a series of geological excursions covering a large part of the Russian Empire between the end of July and middle of September.
