TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Messes West, Newman & Company
Date22 November 1898
DescriptionThe Messrs estimate for the two plates of Burch's 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' paper has been accepted. Asks the Messrs to send for the originals and put the work in hand at their earliest convenience. Impresses the importance of accuracy in the reproduction of the colour and their gradations. The author is anxious to do all he can to assist the Messrs and has made further suggestions and recommendations which will be forwarded with the originals. The execution of these plates will be regarded as some sort of a criterion of the Messrs colour printing work for the Society's guidance in future.
