TitleCopy enclosure from [Robert William Frederick Harrison], to Professor William Abbott Herdman
Date[7 October 1901]
DescriptionThe Botany Committee, 26 June, recommended the allocation of the Gunning Fund to investigations into variation now being carried on at Cambridge by Mr Bateson and Miss Saunders.

The Physiology Committee, 12 July, recommended the allocation of the Gunning Fund to Dr Rivers' proposed journey to Southern India in 1912, for the purpose of making experimental psychological investigations and studying the social organization of the Todas and other Hill Tribes.

The Zoology Committee, 27 June, 'prefers Rivers', so if Professor Halliburton can get his Committee to concur in recommending him that will be very satisfactory.
