Date7 June 1901
DescriptionAs representatives of the Royal Society on the Executive Committee of the National Antarctic Expedition, Foster and Rucker write to inform them what action the officers are proposing to the Council to the situation brought about by the resignation of Professor Gregory. They propose that the Royal Society and the Royal Geographical Society appoint Dr G Murray of the British Museum as Director of Civilan Scientific Staff.
