TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society
Date10 December 1902
DescriptionIs sorry that he sent incomplete papers regarding aeronautics, this was due to a defect in the system of keeping the Council papers which has been remedied. Foster's draft fits in quite well with the correspondence, with some verbal alterations of the references Harrison will have it ready for tomorrow. Has no draft reply of Dr [Joseph] Larmor's although he thinks he remembers drawing one up. Foster may remember there was some confusion as to the action to be taken upon the resolutions of Council of 30 October. It seemed from Harrison's minutes as if a letter ought to go to the Foreign Office in the sense of the Council minute but Harrison could not ascertain if one had been sent and ultimately Dr Larmor informed him that the Council had been told on 6 November that no reply was to be sent to the Foreign Office, until answers were received from the Societies consulted. Thinks Dr Larmor must still have his own draft.

Still has F Galton's Darwin Medal.
