TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Joseph Larmor, Secretary, Royal Society
Date24 November 1903
DescriptionExplains a muddle regarding the Pearson paper which appeared on the list for 'The Times'. Harrison wrote to Pearson explaining that he could still withdraw the paper and encloses Pearson's reply [not enclosed].

Has nothing in print for Thursday's meeting. Morrow's paper is too long to get set up for meeting purposes, the paper still being with a referee, and the manuscript of Porter's paper is still in Larmor's hands.

The Treasurer [Alfred Bray Kempe] wants Larmor to attend the Table Committee on Thursday and wishes to see Larmor.

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers have renominated Sir E Carbutt to the National Physical Laboratory. Cannot make up a list of more than one probable paper for Thursday week, because only one of those in hand has been so far accepted for reading, this is a botanical paper by Kidston.
