Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Joseph Larmor, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 8 December 1903 |
Description | Has received a note this afternoon from Professor Farmer saying that a paper by him and Moore on the Cytology of Cancer, embodying new results, is ready for presentation and making a special request that it might be read next Thursday. To save time Harrison wired Darwin on the matter and he said yes so Harrison has set the paper for reading and informed Farmer accordingly. Presumes Larmor has no objection. Has also put down the Reverend Jackson's paper on the strength of the note Larmor left last night and has sent the summary to be set up.
Miss Brackenbury called today to look at the Rayleigh Portrait and confirmed her provisional estimate of £85 for making a copy. Would like the picture for a fortnight in February and would like to have a print of any photograph that is taken of it for the purposes of the reproduction.
Knows nothing of the business proposed to be done at the Observatories Committee tomorrow and so has not been able to prepare an agenda. |
