TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Robert Kidston, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date1 March 1906
DescriptionThe Chairman of the Botany Committee, who has considered Kidston's letter, has asked Harrison to inform him that the referees' criticisms were submitted merely for his consideration, believing it to be advantageous for him to know the views of other botanists, and not with a view to implying that acceptance of the criticisms was a condition of publication, as he thought had been made clear in his letter of 13 February.

The Chairman also believes that if the photographs intended as text figures can be properly reproduced in that form, they may be kept as they are, with his suggested addition of the outline figures 7 and 8, plate 1. The suggested alteration between text figures and plates was only made with a view to the adequeate reproduction of the illustrations. The only condition made is that the illustrations not exceed 4 plates, in addition to the text figures.
