| Description | Harrison explains that Bruce's letters have arrived, but those addressed to Sir Archibald Geikie by name have only just been opened. He believes they require no answer, but will keep them with the Malta Fever papers. He assumes that Bruce knows the Army Council has approved the suggested arrangement by which Bruce, Major Thomas McCulloch, Major James Christopher Weir and Major James Gibson McNaught go to Malta.
Geikie is unwell and will not be available for two weeks. He hopes Bruce will find the weather in Malta more pleasant than in London. Harrison has seen the copy of Bruce's article on Malta Fever sent to Geikie, and asks if he could spare two or three more for the library, for Harrison, and for Harrison's friend who was formerly Archdeacon of Malta. If not, he asks that Buce inform him where it may be purchased. |
