TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Charles Walker, Liverpool
Date16 May 1907
DescriptionGeikie reflects that the postscript Walker has submitted is unnecessarily controversial in tone, as if in response to an accusation of plagiarism, when all that is required is a fuller acknowledgement of the work of Professor Mathews. He suggests that Walker uses the right hand column in which he states his results and summarises those of Mathews, or provide an even briefer postscript simply recognising Mathews work and commenting on the main points of comparison with his work.

He returns the manuscript to Walker so that he may make the necessary changes. Geikie will be away for two weeks to attend the Linnaeus celebrations in Upsala.
