Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Francis Darwin, Foreign Secretary, Royal Society |
Date | 8 April 1907 |
Description | Harrison reports that a paper by Dr Alfred James Ewart on 'The ascent of water in trees', second paper, has been received, and the covering letter refers to the fact that Ewart has asked Darwin to formally communicate the paper. The 11 glass negatives that accompanied the paper, as text illustrations, have largely been broken in transit, but as they appear to be relatively simple, it is possible they could prepare drawings from the broken negatives.
He asks if Darwin is prepared to act as communicator. The Society have the manuscript, but will forward it to Darwin if he wishes. |
