Description'Sir,
On the part of the Royal Society I desire to express to you its high sense of the value of the services rendered by Staff Surgeon Shaw and Staff Surgeon F.A. Clayton in the prolonged investigation into the Mediterranean Fever which has been carried on under the Society's supervision and which has now been brought to a close. The skill and devotion of these gentlemen contributed in no small degree to the success of the enquiry.
