TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor, to Professor Henry Edward Armstrong, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date19 August 1907
DescriptionHas looked through Armstrong's part V again and thinks Armstrong's charge of inconsistency against Kernst[?] rests on a misunderstanding on Armstrong's part. Thinks Armstrong has no right to say in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' that Morses evidence merely show an accidental balance of disturbing causes. If Armstrong allows the title to be altered from parts II to V, to parts II to IV, they can proceed and part V can wait for Council in October. Armstrong may prefer, as Larmor hopes, to publish his criticisms elsewhere, in which case they can be omitted and the whole can go on.

Is leaving tonight to join the party as Kanderstag.
