With reference to the above paper, the authors have instructed to Archibald Geikie that they regard the illustrations as of the upmost importance and that they must be reproduced in colour. Geikie will be much obliged if Professor Hickson will kindly advise as to whether the request of the authors that illustrations are necessary and must be given in colour is reasonable.
