TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr William Huggins
Date10 April 1890
DescriptionHuggins sent Rix a note some time since about Mr Hilger and his desire to exhibit at the Royal Society's Soirée. Rix brought the matter to the notice of the Soiree Committee and they wish him to explain that of late years they have made a special effort to make the Soirée an occasion for exhibits by the Fellows and scientific men of standing, and that consequently no opticians at all have been invited to exhibit, though the Committee will of course be glad to have anything distinctly novel bought to their notice.
