TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Messrs Davidson & Co, Epygt House, New Broad Street, EC
Date28 July 1911
Description'Adverting to recent correspondence about the ventilating fan you are going to erect on this building, I have been in communication with the Office of Works who have consented to your using the derrick, now erected on our roof for their purposes, for hoisting the parts; and they have undertaken to strengthen the jib sufficiently for the weights which I have given them from your letter of May 29. I have told them that you will bring the necessary tackle for hoisting the parts and shall be glad to be assured that this is understood.
It will suit us better if the work of installing the fan is not begun until after the Bank holiday, and before sending anything down here I shall be obliged by your communicating with our housekeeper, Mr J Barrick, so that he may know when to expect delivery and be prepared for the hoisting arrangements.'
