The title of the paper as registered "On the variation of the specific heat of water, with experiments by a new method", if advertised as a lecture would give the impression that you were going to show the experiments. If that is so, so much the better; but I imagine that the experiments described in your paper are hardly of a kind of suitable for repetition in the meeting room, and in that case it might perhaps be well to make some small verbal amendment of the title of the lecture.' |
