Description | 'Sir John Rose Bradford has handed me your letter of the 1st instant relating to the diary of papers to be read at the meetings of the Royal Society. When he spoke to me about it I was under the impression and told him that the Lancet was one of the papers which received every Tuesday the list of probable papers for the ensuing week, but I have found since that the Lancet has never asked to be placed upon that category. In view however of what you say in your letter of Sir John Bradford I have now added the Lancet to the small number of papers which have this privilege, and in future a manuscript copy of the probable papers for each meeting will be sent to your office on the Tuesday of the week preceding and meeting. I trust this will accord with your wishes and remain.' |
