Description | 'A day or two ago, your bankers, acting on your instructions, sent a cheque for £3, the amount of your annual contributions. At the same time they asked for the name of the Society's bankers with the view of arranging for future payments. Accordingly we sent them the banker's order form in use here, and also, as a matter of convenience, the receipt for your subscription, leaving it to them to obtain further instructions as to future payments, direct from you. They have, however, returned the order and receipt (both enclosed herewith) stating that the former requires your signature, which, of course, was left to them to obtain from you. Kindly deal with the matter, and pray do not trouble to acknowledge this letter.' |
