TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie to Sir Henry Morris
Date14 March 1912
Description'I delayed replying to your letter of 1th until I should have an opportunity of consulting my colleagues here as to future arrangements. You are doubtless aware that we have been in communication with the Dean of Westminster and also with Mr Asquith as to the placing of a monument of some kind to Lord Lister in the abbey, and write this matter is concluded we think that we had better delay the consideration of the proposal contained in you letter. Doubtless such an international appeal as you think of would meet with wide sympathy and support.'
