Description'Referring to yours of the 23rd instant I now enclose a rough diagram made on the actual page of the book for which the portrait is intended and showing the proportion of the page to be occupied by the photograph surface of the proposed photogravure of Lord Lister. You will be able to determine from this the proportion of the figure in the complete photograph which would be shown on the photogravure.
I shall be glad to hear from you as soon as possible your price for making and supplying a photogravure plate for making and supplying a photogravure plate for this portrait, including the charge you make for using the negative. In order to secure uniformity of paper, &c in the several portrait plates which will illustrate the volume of the "Record", it is proposed to have them all printed by the Oxford Press, who are printing the book.'
