Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor William Abbott Herdman, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 2 August 1912 |
Description | Professor Cayeux, who was recently appointed as successor to the late Michel-Levy in the Chair of Geology at the College de France, Paris, has applied for some of the volumes of the Challenger publications for the library of the college. From the broken sets he would like, 'Narratives of the cruise volumes one and two', 'Deep sea deposits', 'Zoology volumes fourteen, twenty and thirty one', 'Physics and chemistry of the voyage of the Challenger', volumes one and to'. The President recommends that these be given. If he agrees, asks him to sign his assent on the form.
