Description'Replying to your enquiry concerning Capt. Thomas Savery, I beg to inform you that he was a Fellow of the Royal Society. We have his signature. The entry Capt. Henry Savery in our "Record" on 1901 us a mistake which has been corrected in the new edition this year.
We have the two letters referred to by Dr Rigaud as copied in the "Register" and shall be glad to show them you, if you will go through the usual formality of applying in writing for permission to consult them and (if need be) to take copies of them in whole or in part.'
