Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor A [Arthur] Schuster, Secretary of the Royal Society |
Date | 9 December 1912 |
Description | 'Many thanks for your memoranda received this morning, I should be much obliged if you would send me back the page or two of draft Council Minutes which I sent you on Saturday; it would save having them written out again from notes - now received by letter post with thanks. I wrote to your yesterday about Dreyer's paper. This morning Sir John Bradford sent me your letter of him, and says he fears the matter cannot be settled without correspondence with the author. That being so I can do nothing but hold up the number till this has taken place, unless you like to write direct to the author yourself about his Rational Formula. In that case his address is, Pathological Laboratory, University of Oxford. I hear from the President this morning that you will attend the funeral of Sir George Darwin on Wednesday. I will therefore send nothing after this to Manchester unless I head from you in the meantime.' |
