TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Sir William Tilden FRS
Date14 March 1913
DescriptionHarrison has been trying to eludicate the muddle that has been made of the entries against Tilden's name in the Year Book. Harrison explains that the repetition of the Institute of Chemistry arose from the instruction given to Harrison late in the printing of the list that past presidencies were not to be inserted; that involved an alteration of the entry already given and without careful re-examination 'Member' was substituted for 'Past President'. The intrusion of the Imperial Prussian Academy is due to the printers misunderstaning of an addition written along the margin of the proof intended for another entry.
Harrison apologises and assures Tilden that it shall be corrected in the next edition.
