TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to the Secretary of the National Trust, 25 Victoria Street, SW
Date22 April 1913
Description'Adverting to your letter of the 22nd inst. I am instructed by the President to say that he fears the Royal Society can take little effective action for the preservation of Newton House; but the matter shall be brought before the Council, and in the meantime I am to ask if you can inform us more precisely as to the nature of the situation in which the house is threatened with destruction, and who the parties are that are concerned in the case. Is the situation due to the action of private individuals or of a Public Body? Any further information you can supply will be of assistance to the Council in forming an opinion as to their powers of action.'
