TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Messrs Davidson & Company
Date21 May 1912
DescriptionIt has been reported that there is a defect in the lubricating arrangement of the electric fan on the roof which Davidsons erected some time ago. The electricians state that the bearings run dry very quickly. At the Soiree a fortnight ago the bearings were properly filled with suitable oil at the beginning of the evening, and although the fan was in use for less than five hours the bearings were run practically dry.

Having regard to what happened on a previous occasion, Harrison thinks it best to call their attention to this matter at once without allowing anyone else to touch the machine. Requests that they send someone down to inspect it.
