TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor [Ernest William] MacBride, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date8 October 1913
DescriptionHas glanced over Professor [Alexander] Graham Bell's claims which MacBride has sent in, and suggests that it might be strengthened by producing in the first sentence the actual words of the motion proposing him in the Council Minutes, 'his share in the invention of the telephone and more especially the construction of the telephone receiver', and by the omission of the general statement of his wide interest in science in the next sentence. If he would modify it, it could be sent, with MacBride's permission to Professor [Silvanus Phillips] Thompson who perhaps may amplify it a little.
