TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to John Scott Keltie, Royal Geographical Society
Date2 February 1892
DescriptionRix explains that it has always been their rule not to send 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' unless applied for, and as Keltie has not applied since 1883, he has not received them. He further states, that the Royal Geographical Society, along with a number of others, was limited to the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' in 1888, but Rix is unaware of the reason, though he notes it was a general measure based on what each society sent them, and how much each society would use 'Philosophical Transactions'.

Rix finally states that Keltie may request copies of 'Philosophical Transactions' from 1884 to 1887, but that they cannot have copies from 1888 onwards unless Keltie raises the matter with the Library Committee or Secretaries of the Royal Society.
