Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Lt. Colonol Sir David Prain, Treasurer of the Royal Society, FRS, CMG, |
Date | 17 December 1919 |
Description | Advises that a large amount of material has come in from the Indian Office for submission to the Indian Government Advisory Committee, and encloses a copy of the covering letter [not enclosed]. Asks if Sir David Prain, FRS, would act as Chairman as Sir Thomas [Henry] Holland, FRS, the current Chairman, is away, as Sir David Prain has previously held the office and is the most senior member. Asks how they should proceed, and says, 'I think it would be a good thing to call the Committee together in order to remind the members that the body is still alive.' |
