| Description | Informs Robert John Strutt on 6 matters. 1: Asks Strutt to look through the analysis of the paper 'The structure of molecules in relation to their optical anisotropy' by K.R. Ramanthan, as he has reported favourably on a previous paper by the author. 2: Give thanks for the report on the paper 'The colours due to thin films on metal' by Evan. 3: Asks if the paper 'The luminescence of nitrogen, argon etc' by McLennan should be published after the author has met Strutt's comments. 4: Informs that Merton has reported favourably on the paper 'The fine structure of the band spectra of sodium' by Grayson Smith and that Folwer was similarly impressed. 5: States the difficulty of finding a referee for the paper 'The cataphoresis of gas bubbles in water' by T. Alty, and that the communicator has been asked to either suggest one or gurantee the paper for publishing. 6: Informs that [Galton] Darwin has reported favourably on the paper 'the Determination of molecular fields,' parts I and II by Jones, who has sent in a new appendix, which Darwin has suggested it be incorporated into the rest of the paper. |
